Wild Swimming

Often, I feel like because of the fast-paced nature of so many of our lives, it can be easy to take the natural beauty of what surrounds us for granted. I try to capture this beauty in my documentary project, “Here For Now,” which focuses on the positive things that people do to try and bring balance to the world, including living sustainably, reclaiming their wild space and connecting with nature.

My photography in this series highlights how people and nature can come together. Given I’m a Sheffield based photographer, I took to the Peak District in order to capture images of people wild swimming. This series acts as a reminder of the natural beauty of our world, as in the same way that taking a 15-minute dip can, immersing yourself in these images is the perfect way to momentarily disconnect. Now published in the newest edition of the Hope Valley Journal.
